Meet Paul David Bolte

Paul David has always been a singer/songwriter. One of his first memories is playing and singing along with Johnny Cash. Of course, that was with a plastic toy guitar in front of a Zenith floor model TV. Since early childhood, Paul David has had a love affair with music. By age 10, Paul David traded that plastic guitar for steel and wood. Fighting sore stubby fingers, he practiced every day. In high school, he played guitar in church with his youth group. Then in college, fraternity life took hold, putting music on the back burner.

After college, Paul David put music away completely, trading all his gear for the down payment on a house for him and his new wife. Music, however, would not go away. As life would have it, he found himself a few years later, picking up a guitar and playing along with the radio. This time, not only did that burning desire to play music start to consume him again, but now he also started writing. Soon he was playing open mic nights and booking shows at the local bars and pizza joints. He played anytime he could. Fronting a top 40 country band, or playing guitar in a classic rock band, or hosting jam nights at one of the many local dives in town; he played five or six days a week.

A second and third marriage sidelined him briefly, but two subsequent divorces have given him plenty of material to write about.

These days Paul David divides his time between taking a more regimented approach to his writing, while playing shows as much as he can. You can find him playing local venues Thursday thru Saturday most weeks or look for his upcoming project wherever you stream music.
